It is one of the Rokugo Manzan Temples that is said to be opened by Ninmon in the Yoro Era (717 - 723). There are ruins of an auditorium and a Fudodo, and it is thought that this temple once prospered. The Fudomyooh is designated as a Prefectural Cultural Heritage, and it is said that it was moved from its initial place in a nearby cave.
