This is a traditional event that is held in the Kakizono and Nakanishi districts of Musashimachi Maruono Kunisaki. According to tradition, a great famine happened in the Tempo Period (1830-1844), and infectious diseases killed many children. It is said that this event was started by the villagers to pray for their children's health, fire prevention, and fruitful harvest. The oni are represented as 6 elementary school boys, and the oldest one is the Araioni. The event is held at Inari shrine located above the settlement, and the worshipers are blessed for good fortune. Children play a central role in this event.
