Ebisudani is also said to be the birthplace and the last place of residence of Kishindayuyukihira, a swordmaker representing Bungo. The cave located behind the Ishikawauchi Basin is said to be a golden floor where Yukihira made his swords. The appearance of Yukihira holding a hammer is rumored to be so imposing, causing this place to be called Onigajo.
