The Iizuka ruins were dated in the late 7th century to the 10th century and are related to Dazaifu. Iizuka was the base of storage, operation, rice field, and processing of Usa Shrine. Many wooden pieces have been excavated from it, as well as things related to the fields and handicrafts, and other wooden pieces relating to religion and faith such as 'oni suddenly orders' and spellbooks marked with spells.
