It is said that the black Araioni and the red Saibaraioni of Tennenji Temple are the incarnations of Fudomyooh and Aizenmyooh. The oni wield torches while saying "Horenshoyo, Soraonniwayo". They bring smoke and sparks, and thundering waves of laughter in the hall. It is said that those who get hit by the oni on the backside or the shoulder will have a year free of sickness, a successful harvest, and other good omens.
